What does it take to go from being an Ordinary parent to an ExtraOrdinary parent?
Every Mum or Dad works hard to keep their child happy and wants to give their baby or child the best start in life but it is amazing how difficult can this be in the first year or two when you’re just learning the ropes and have barely any prior baby experience.
When your infant arrives safe and sound, you will probably feel like the luckiest person in the world. It’s the icing on the cake and you look forward to the future and all that you can provide for your new baby and the fun things you can all do together as a family. We all know that a baby needs feeding during the night and prepare ourselves for sleepless nights in the first few months, but what if things go backwards or last longer than 6/7 months?
Sleep deprivation used to be a form of torture and the longer it goes on for, the more it impacts our relationships. I have many clients who have let things continue whilst they tried everything they could possibly think of. They have wasted hours searching on the internet, read all the books, talked to friends and still got nowhere. ☹ Some still face the same challenges a year or two later. During this period exhaustion sets in, tempers fray and even being one of the most intelligent parents around, you may start to question your own abilities.
When things don’t improve and you leave them to chance, your child gets into bad habits and your work, health or marriage suffers.
Ever imagined that there must be an easier way to have it all? A life where you wake up and feel refreshed, your baby has slept for a whole night and this has gone on for a week or more! You begin to feel more focused, you can plan your days and you are back in control of your life or work. Finally, you are truly ‘living the dream’ and all your hard work has paid off.
In life, we can always take the easy route or the more difficult one. In business, we have training and a variety of skills that need to be mastered in order to be successful, then our job becomes easier, more enjoyable and profits rise too.
A smart parent values freedom and wants more fun and quality time with their children and family. If this is you, you have the choice to stay as you are because everything is flowing as you want it to or if you’re slightly off kilter, you can take a leap of faith and learn some simple, new techniques and skills that will skyrocket your life/work balance.
When you do this, life becomes 10 x’s easier. It brings you closer to your child/children and you get to live the life of an ‘Extraordinary’ parent experiencing more fun and joy. One without the daily stress, drama and confusion most parents experience, particularly in years one, two and three.
Would you like to grow wiser and be a relaxed, involved parent whilst your kids are small? Having over 25 years’ experience, I urge you not to waste those early years. You’ll never get them back.
If you want to find out how to create the family life you desire, you can learn the secrets to having your child sleep peacefully all night using gentle techniques, have your partner be looked after whilst you jet off on a business trip or how to handle exhausting toddler tantrums, we can assist.
