About Juliet Robinson
Some people 'get babies and children and some don't', we all have our natural talents and skills and from an early age I was drawn towards small children. I was fascinated by them and remember going to a christening when I was around 10 years old and could take my eyes off the baby, I was secretly hoping she would wake so I could hold her. When I was doing my childcare training I had a little boy aged 3 come up to me and tell me 'I'm going to take you home for lunch with me', I'd only met him that morning. I guess I've always been able to tune into children and understand their needs. Some people are good at business and find making money easy, some are good at processes and systems and others love their children but need someone else to help them figure out what their child needs so they magically eat, sleep and behave well.
Usually it only requires a few, simple tweaks, only when you don't know which these are, life can feel hard work and no-one wants that. I know my mother struggled with the three of us,
Understanding babies and young children is not something that comes easily to everyone, for Juliet it was an area that fascinated her as far back as she can recall and it became her gift. Her family work and book have taken her around the world, from London, New York to Australia and New Zealand. Juliet’s been privileged to work in nurseries and for many rich and well known families, helping to teach children to sleep, eat and behave well and learn about life using the Montessori philosophy.
As a child she was sporty, adventurous and loved people and new places. Being a middle child, having a brother and sister close in age, she was dubbed the ‘difficult’ one. Beneath the exterior though was a sensitive soul, who grew up with a dying father suffering with Multiple Sclerosis and an depressed mother who sought refuge in alcohol.
It is through living and working with 1000’s of families and her early childhood experiences that she is able to call upon her intuition and instinctively knows what a young child needs or is trying to express, it is this knack that every exhausted parent wishes for. Juliet enjoys teaching a parent how to calmly support their child with confidence and clarity, and provides peace of mind and reassurance with your own journey.
After studying Childcare and Human development, her career started as a nanny/maternity nurse and later she qualified as a Montessori teacher. She has furthered her career as a Sleep Consultant and Family Lifestyle Mentor, having a particular interest in helping mothers who are feeling anxious and may be suffering post natal depression or those parents who are dealing with extreme stress from baby or child loss.
It is Juliet’s wish to help as many parents as possible across the globe with her holistic advice, amazing insights and personally tailored family lifestyle and childcare programmes.
